The entrant and the customer are the same person

On GolfBooker the entrant is the customer. Their entry fee sits in the same ledger as their green fees, their pro shop spend and their bar tab; their membership status determines what they pay to enter; their handicap comes from the same GHIN link the rest of the club uses; and the marketing that invites them to the next event segments off their actual playing history. On Golf Genius the entrant exists in the tournament system, and in your club system they exist again as a customer, a member or both. Golf Genius Tournament Management does not include point of sale, member management or tee sheet management. That is a deliberate scope decision, and it is stated plainly enough on their own pages that nobody should be surprised by it.

Handicaps: the same GHIN link, in a fuller record

GolfBooker supports USGA and GHIN directly: score posting, course and tee search with ratings, course handicaps and GHIN linking held against the member record, so the handicap sits next to the member's dues, their bookings and their bar account. A competition entry, a member rate and a handicap index become three facts about one person rather than three systems agreeing about them. Golf Genius includes full GHIN integration on both tiers, and this is not a row we need to win on capability.

Where Golf Genius fits

Its tournament format library is deeper than ours, and its reach across associations and multi-club competition structures is real. If you are a golf association whose entire job is running competitions across many clubs, and the operational side is somebody else's problem entirely, that specialty is exactly what you want. A golf club is a different buyer: the competitions matter, and so do the tee sheet, the till, the members and the season around them.

    Entrant lists, event history and league standings come out of Golf Genius. Everything else does not, because it was never in there: customers, members, membership types and your product catalog come from the tee sheet and point of sale you run alongside it. We tell you exactly which exports we need before you start, so you are not guessing at which report to run.

  2. We map and validate

    We map the fields and run the file for duplicates and formatting problems before anything is loaded, then send you the list of what we found. Bad member records are cheaper to fix now than in your first week live.

  3. Your rules go in first

    Booking windows, cancellation policy, group limits, seasons and green fee rates by day, time and player category are configured before launch. You are not opening on defaults and correcting them under pressure.
