GolfBooker is one product with everything in it and no premium tier. foreUP is sold a module at a time, with leagues above the line and tournaments from BlueGolf.
You want leagues and live scoring without an upgrade conversation. Season-long standings, points, divisions and six tie-breaker methods are in the standard product, not a premium tier.
You want tournaments in your club's system, not next to it. Entrants are customers, entry fees land in the same ledger as green fees, and the scoring engine is ours rather than a partner's.
You want the merchant account in your club's name. Card payments settle through your club's own merchant account, so the processor relationship, the payout schedule and the exit stay with you.
The catch with foreUP
Sold as separate modules, with a premium Tee Sheet + tier above the standard tee sheet.
Custom league management sits in that premium tier, not in the standard product.
Tournament management is BlueGolf's software under the foreUP name, so competitions run outside your own records.
The long version
GolfBooker vs foreUP: what the difference actually is
GolfBooker is one product with everything in it. The tee sheet, the till, the member record, the tournaments, the leagues, the marketing and the club website all read the same data, on one contract, with no premium tier and nothing to unlock. Season-long leagues with cumulative standings, points systems, divisions and six tie-breaker methods are standard. Tournament scoring is our own engine, so an entrant is a customer and an entry fee lands in the same ledger as green fees and bar tabs. Card payments settle into a merchant account in your club's own name.
foreUP is sold in parts. There is a set of separately priced modules, a premium Tee Sheet + tier layered above the standard tee sheet, and a tournament product powered by BlueGolf rather than written by foreUP. Each of those is a defensible decision on its own. Together they mean you manage a configuration rather than a system.
Section by section
Everything included, against modules and a premium tier
GolfBooker has one scope: all of it. There is no module list to price, no tier to be on, and no capability that arrives only after an upgrade conversation, which means scoping the product once rather than re-scoping it every time the operation grows. foreUP publishes separate products for the tee sheet, the point of sale, billing, marketing and more, with Tee Sheet + described as a premium tier above the standard tee sheet.
Verdict
foreUP for a course that wants to buy narrowly and add later. GolfBooker for a course that wants the answer to be yes.
Leagues and live scoring, standard rather than premium
On GolfBooker season-long series are part of the standard product: cumulative standings, configurable points systems, divisions, and six tie-breaker methods including count-back, slope, exact handicap and playoff. Players score on their phones and the leaderboard publishes as they play, at every club, with no upgrade to authorize. foreUP describes Tee Sheet + as a premium tier of the tee sheet and lists among its additions a specialized team play dashboard for custom league management, live digital scoring from mobile devices, and online payment for tournaments, camps, clinics and events. League play, in other words, is above the line.
Verdict
GolfBooker. Leagues are how a lot of clubs make their winter, and they should not be a tier.
Tournaments: our own engine, or BlueGolf under the foreUP name
On GolfBooker an entrant is a customer. Entry fees land in the same ledger as green fees and bar tabs, membership status decides what someone pays to enter, the scoring engine is ours, and leaderboards publish from the same data the tee sheet is written on. foreUP's tournament page carries the line “Tournament Management, Powered by BlueGolf” in its own header. It covers format libraries, live digital scoring and leaderboards. It is also a second company's product presented under foreUP's name, which is why entrants, formats and results sit in a tournament system rather than in the records that run the rest of your operation.
Verdict
GolfBooker on integration. BlueGolf is strong competition software; it is not the same thing as your club's system.
Payments and who holds the processor relationship
GolfBooker settles card payments through a merchant account in your club's own name, so the processor relationship, the payout schedule, the dispute history and the ability to leave all stay with the club. foreUP sells its own processing service, foreUP Payments, and describes it as reliable technology with no more middleman. That is a real benefit and a real trade at the same time: the vendor running your tee sheet also runs your money. We have found no published foreUP terms about using a different processor, so we make no claim about whether you can. Ask them directly and get the answer in writing.
Verdict
GolfBooker on ownership. Whose name is on the merchant account is worth knowing before you sign, whichever way you go.
Tee sheet and online booking
GolfBooker's sheet takes writes from your website, the branded golfer app and the front desk in the same instant, with booking windows, cancellation rules and group limits configured once and enforced on every channel. Time-based reservations cover ranges, simulators and bays. foreUP's tee sheet is drag-and-drop with online booking and automated sunrise and sunset times, and it is the module the rest of its platform is built around. Neither course would feel short-changed here.
Verdict
Little in it on the sheet. GolfBooker on what the sheet is attached to, which is the rest of this page.
Switching from foreUP
We tell you which exports we need before you start, map the fields, and run the files for duplicates and formatting problems before anything loads, with your booking windows, cancellation policy, seasons and green fee rates configured before launch. Because foreUP is modular, the export is modular too, and that is the part worth planning: customers, members and membership types come from billing, and your product catalog and inventory from the point of sale. If you run tournaments, entrant history sits in the BlueGolf-powered product rather than with the rest. foreUP stays live until your sheet takes over.
Verdict
Straightforward, with one caveat: check what comes out of the tournament product before you assume it does.

Common questions about foreUP
Is foreUP sold as one system or as separate modules?
As separate modules, with a premium Tee Sheet + tier above the standard tee sheet, so scoping it means deciding what to switch on and revisiting that as you grow. GolfBooker is one product with everything in it and no tier to upgrade to.
Does foreUP include league management?
Its team play dashboard for custom leagues sits in the premium Tee Sheet + tier rather than the standard product. On GolfBooker season-long leagues are standard, with cumulative standings, points systems, divisions and six tie-breaker methods.
Who makes foreUP's tournament software?
BlueGolf. Their own tournament page is headed "Tournament Management, Powered by BlueGolf", so competitions run in a partner's system rather than in your club's records. GolfBooker's scoring engine is native, so an entrant is a customer and entry fees land in the same ledger as green fees.
How does GolfBooker handle card payments compared with foreUP?
foreUP sells its own processing service, foreUP Payments. GolfBooker settles into a merchant account in your club's own name, so the processor relationship, the payout schedule and the ability to leave stay with the club rather than the software vendor.
Switching from foreUP
What the move actually looks like
Four steps, one to two weeks for most clubs, and the team with you on the day. Import help and onboarding are included at no extra cost.
1
Export from foreUP
You pull customers, members, membership types and your product catalog out as CSV. We tell you exactly which exports we need before you start, so you are not guessing at which report to run.
2
We map and validate
We map the fields and run the file for duplicates and formatting problems before anything is loaded, then send you the list of what we found. Bad member records are cheaper to fix now than in your first week live.
3
Your rules go in first
Booking windows, cancellation policy, group limits, seasons and green fee rates by day, time and player category are configured before launch. You are not opening on defaults and correcting them under pressure.
4
Go live with the team on the phone
Switch-over morning is the one that matters, so we are on it with you: the people who build the product, from the first tee time to the last.
See it on your own course
A working demo on your operation, and a quote with the subscription and the booking commission both written down. If you are moving off foreUP, we will walk through what the import looks like.
