Is GolfBooker free?
Yes. The GolfBooker app is free to download and use. Scoring, GPS distances, stat tracking and handicap updates are all included at no cost. There are no premium tiers or feature locks. When you book a tee time through the app, the green fee goes to the golf club and GolfBooker does not add any booking fees for players.
What courses are available?
The scorecard and GPS features work at over 42,000 courses worldwide. Course data is sourced from open databases, so hole layouts, par values and distances are accurate even if the club does not use GolfBooker directly. Tee time booking is available at clubs that have partnered with GolfBooker and the list is growing as more clubs join the platform.
How does GPS work on the course?
When you start a round, the app uses your phone's GPS to show distances to the front, centre and back of the green as well as hazards and doglegs. The map updates as you move between holes. No extra hardware or wearable is needed.
How does handicap tracking work?
GolfBooker connects to national handicap systems so your official handicap stays in sync with your golf federation's records.
Can I use GolfBooker for tournaments and events?
Yes. You can add friends to the same round and score together on a live leaderboard. When your club hosts an event through GolfBooker, you can sign up, pay the entry fee and follow results directly in the app. The platform supports Stroke Play, Stableford, Scramble, Match Play, Best Ball, Foursome, Greensome and Irish Rumble formats. If your club wants to run tournaments through GolfBooker, they can get started with the tournament management tools.
